Plumbing Systems & Design Reader Quotes

After reading Plumbing Systems and Design™(PSD), I have to say that I am very impressed. Each issue is full of technical articles as well as a CEU credited article, very helpful for those of us maintaining our CPD. It is wonderful to see so many members donating their experiences and expertise on the plumbing topics. As stated some time ago "Who knows more about plumbing systems then ASPE members" this appears to be so true in these articles. I hope to finish this issue before the next one arrives.

I really enjoy the "Continuing Education" portion of the PSD Magazine. In my opinion, it gives the reader another look at a particular system or method of design, other than the one they use daily. It gives other ideas to better improve your own method of engineering. All plumbing engineers/designers have there own set way of completing engineering tasks. The continuing education section of the magazine gives the user options to use alternative methods.

I have read both issues of PSD magazine. Both issues have contained information that I can apply to my daily work. I also like the fact that the articles are written by ASPE members. Keep up the good work.

I have been impressed with the quality of the technical articles on design. I am happy that the 2nd issue of PSD magazine was as good as the first and maybe a little better. The magazine does a super job of covering society happenings and news.

Regarding the feature story in PSD magazine, "What a Sprinkler Contractor Looks for in Bid Documents" what a great article!

I have been harping on this subject for some time. The requirement for "highly detailed drawings" is increasing state-by-state. As indicated in the article, "more detail is not necessarily better." The drive by each state to increase the level of detail on bid documents is well intentioned but in my opinion is misguided and does not provide any added value to the owner in terms of the finished product or risk reduction. Design and construction costs are driven up with no tangible benefit.
